My camera roll would probably have you believe I went to LTKCon, wore some fun clothes, took some pretty pictures and knew exactly what I was doing. That is…not exactly how it went. 😂

I went into my first LTKCon incredibly grateful, VERY excited and also pretty nervous. Before I left, I made myself a promise: don’t shrink and don’t let your nerves make you disappear. Say hello first. Walk up to people. And actually let yourself be in the rooms you were invited into.

And I did.

What I apparently did NOT do was remember to take pictures while I was doing it.

I’m realizing I’m not very good at having a real conversation AND remembering, Wait, we need a picture! So most of the time, I chose the conversation. And I’m actually really glad I did.

I got to hug people I’ve known through a screen for years, spend time with friends who understand this very weird job, meet people I’d followed forever and have conversations I wish I could somehow bottle up and bring home with me.

And yes, I had more than one HOW IN THE WORLD AM I HERE? moment.

But I know the answer.

All of you.

Every time you watch, comment, share, shop a link or simply keep showing up here, you’re part of the reason I was standing in those rooms. And that is absolutely not lost on me.

I didn’t document everything. I missed pictures. The swag is STILL mostly packed.

But I was there for it.

Really there.

And I’m incredibly grateful this little community of ours got me there. ❤️

The outfits may have gotten all the attention at LTKCon, but THESE are the things that were actually doing the heavy lifting behind the scenes.

Coffee with my protein shake as creamer every morning, the Jelly Bra smoothing everything out underneath those outfits, a little help for my fine hair, dry eyes, wrinkles, wardrobe emergencies…and apparently a stain remover because I still haven’t learned how to drink coffee without wearing it.

None of it is particularly glamorous, but every single thing earned its spot in my suitcase—and that little $10 stain remover actually saved an outfit.

Now tell me: what’s the completely unglamorous thing YOU never travel without? I have a feeling I’m about to add a few things to my list. 😂

Now, here’s the story…

If you want to know what my personal style actually looks like, I think this might be it.

Before I left for my first LTKCon, I put way more thought into what I was going to wear than I normally ever would. Not because I wanted to look like everyone else there, but because I wanted to make sure I looked like me.

I was nervous going into this trip. I was walking into rooms with creators I’ve followed for years, brands I’ve worked with and dreamed of working with, and so many people I had only ever known through a screen. And I made myself a promise before I went: I wasn’t going to shrink, and I wasn’t going to try to blend in.

So I wore the color. I wore the statement pieces. I wore a black dress that was outside my comfort zone. I wore Walmart and Amazon right alongside Tuckernuck and Frank & Eileen. I rewore things already hanging in my closet. Some were splurges, some were saves, and one entire outfit made it into my suitcase the DAY before I left.

Because all of that is me.

And somewhere between all those outfit changes—which, for the record, is a LOT for this fashion influencer who would happily get dressed once and call it a day—I realized something: I felt confident in every single thing I wore.

Not because every outfit was “perfect,” but because none of them felt like a costume.

I went into this experience wanting to have the courage to take up my little bit of space in those rooms without changing who I was to fit into them. And I came home really proud that I did.

So here it is…everything I wore to my first LTKCon. High, low, bold, classic, comfortable, a little outside my comfort zone and completely me.

And I have all of YOU to thank for giving me the opportunity to wear any of it there in the first place.
