Let me explain something about spring trends. Every year we act surprised when femininity comes back (florals for spring? How original 🙄) Lace. Ruffles. Florals. Sheer layers. But, fashion runs on contrast. In the winter we seek out “armor” with our layered sweaters and heavier fabrications. The opposite is what we see trending when spring comes around. Fashion run on a pendulum swing (hi, AIC teachers, just here tryin’ to make you proud!), and since we’ve seen minimalistic “clean girl” style for a bit, we are going to head into what the industry refers to as a “romantic revival”. I foresee this round as being less fragile and more confident. Think corsetry as empowerment (I’m choosing this - it isn’t required of me!), sheerness that still has structure to it, and of course, feminine details that are intentional. LTKmomlife LTKootd
