Color blocking is underrated in midlife style. The right contrast does the work for you — polished, intentional, and surprisingly easy to wear.

This look started with powder blue wide-leg pants, then shifted once I found out we were supposed to wear red. Instead of changing the outfit completely, I layered in red accents with the shoes, nails, and lip. That’s usually the difference between an outfit feeling “fine” and feeling styled.

Also: flutter sleeves + a draped fit top = one of my favorite workwear formulas for curvy midsize proportions. Comfortable without looking overly casual.

Midlife workwear has officially entered its “confident but not boring” era.
