🍂✨ Hello from the countryside — fall prep is in full swing! We just finished our second batch of muscadine jelly (sweet, sticky autumn in a jar 😍), and tomorrow I’ll be baking a warm sourdough banana nut bread. Nothing beats the smell of fresh bread while sipping soup on cool evenings. Our butternut squash + tomato soup has been on repeat, straight from our garden harvest 🥣🍅. The land is giving generously this season: spinach, grapes, pears — though the deer seem to think they’re invited too 🦌🌿. Sharing the land is part of the beauty of slow countryside living. Fall home décor is slowly coming together. I tried to stop by Hobby Lobby today (forgot it was closed on Sundays — bummer!) but soon I’ll be adding more pumpkins from the vine to our front porch. Every little touch makes the farmhouse cozier for the season. 🍁🏡 What are you guys harvesting this season? Are you decorating with pumpkins, mums, or cozy autumn candles yet?
