POV: the house is really empty this week.
There’s “empty nester” when the kids are gone… and then there’s the next level when it’s just me, myself, and I holding down the whole house. I usually enjoy the quiet (we get along… for about three days 😅), but after that, even I’m like, okay… I’ve heard enough of my own thoughts. This week especially, it feels like Lawton has been gone forever. Because it’s one thing when the boys are gone, but when he’s gone too, the quiet hits different. No TV, just reading, listening, resting… repeat. Basically living my own little Groundhog Day over here.
