POV: Easter Sunday as an empty nester mom equals early morning coffee, quiet prayers, and a full heart thinking about all the new rhythms this season brings, which included loading up in the dark and driving to Auburn for church. Mason had to be at church early to serve, so we were off before sunrise to get there on time. We made it with minutes to spare, and it was so worth it. The worship was wonderful, and the message of hope felt even sweeter this year. We waited for Mason to finish serving, then headed to brunch, shared a few more hugs and laughs before making our way back home, unpacking, settling in, and finishing the day with a quiet gratitude walk, reflecting on the same truth from my morning prayer… He has risen, and I’m so grateful for it all.
