Three years into this empty nest chapter, and I’m still figuring it out as I go. When both boys left for college, the quiet hit fast and so did the need to rediscover who I was beyond the busy days of raising twins. POV: A Day in Learning Land- I almost got to school early until I got stopped by a train. I’ve never seen one in the morning, but of course, today of all days, there it was. 🤣🚂🚂🚂🚂 The day was full of lesson planning, helping kindergarten pick their Halloween costumes, and getting roasted by a five-year-old who said I looked like a tiger. Honestly? The highlight of my day. I’ve never laughed so hard! 🐅🧡🖤🤣

The day ended by me cleaning the book room. Then, I packed up a few things to finish at home, and just kept thinking this was a good day! The laughter in between the lessons, the little moments that make learning land both exhausting and worth it. Even in the busy, the routine, and the in-between of meetings and emails, I’m grateful for this season in learning land because I only have three years left!! 😳
