POV: Twenty-four hours. That’s all we had… and somehow it was exactly what we needed. The boys came home to grab a few things they’d left behind at Christmas, and this was only weekend that worked and Mother Nature slipped in a little snowstorm to keep them here just a tiny bit longer. ❄️ So, we spent the morning slow and sweet… coffee, prayers, laughter, filming a fun family reel. Ran to Costco for the essentials every college pantry somehow runs out of. Came home, played in the snow, napped, and soaked up every ordinary moment that doesn’t feel ordinary at all anymore. Then just like that, coats on, hugs tight, and they were headed back to Auburn before night settled in (Mason serves at church on Sundays 💛). The night ended with me in my comfies, watching their little dots move on the “Find My app” waiting on the text that says “We made it.” It was short… It was sweet… it was exactly what my empty nester heart needed. ❄️🥰

You all ask all the time what my days really look like, and honestly… my mind is usually moving faster than I can explain it. If I ever sit down long enough, I tend to fall asleep, so I just keep going. But here’s a little sneak peek into my world. Then it’s getting changed and heading out the door to leaning land. Which is usually too busy to stop for pictures… The day moves fast then its home is where things slow down again a little incline workout to get ready for a long run tomorrow, cozy blankets, and DoorDash on the couch while we wait for the boys to come home. Even if it’s just 24 hours, we’ll take it, because empty nest life teaches you that every minute counts. And Finally, wrap-up of the week “off the reel and always into real life”.
