POV: Some weeks feel a little harder than others. When my husband is traveling and the house is still and quiet, I do my best to keep moving — cleaning, decorating, checking things off — but the silence has a way of reminding me who I’m missing. The memories and laughter of raising boys echo deep in my heart, and I carry them with me always… it keeps the time moving! I never imagined that this season of being an empty nester would stretch me the way it has. It’s pushed me to try things I never thought I’d do, to accomplish things I never thought I could, and to find JOY in new little hobbies that somehow grew into something so much bigger.
