LTKCon, year TWO. I would be lying if I said I never walked into rooms like this and wondered, Do I really belong here Sometimes the insecurities get loud. My age. My wrinkles. The comparison. The feeling that maybe I’m too late or everyone else has it more figured out. But every time the enemy tries to convince me there isn’t a place for me, God gently reminds me, “I made room for you here.” Maybe that’s one of the biggest things I’m bringing home this year. I’m not late. I’m right on time. At 50, I’m still dreaming. Still learning. Still growing. Still showing up. Because influence was never supposed to be about being the youngest, the prettiest or the most polished. It’s about using the space you’ve been given to shine a little light and hopefully remind someone else there’s room for her, too. And goodness, am I grateful for the people. The friendships that have become real-life friendships, the new faces I met this week, and YOU who continue to show up here with me. LTKCon year two reminded me: There is room in the room for me. There is room in the room for you. And when God opens the door, we don’t have to apologize for walking through it.
