Mix ingredients: In a mixing bowl, whisk together the milk, sugar, and salt until the sugar is dissolved (1–2 minutes). Stir in the cream and vanilla. 3. Pre-chill (optional): For best results, refrigerate the mixture for 1–2 hours or until cold. 4. Start the machine: Turn the Cuisinart on, then pour the mixture into the bowl while it’s running. 5. Churn: Let it run for 15–20 minutes, or until thickened to soft-serve consistency. 6. Freeze: Transfer to an airtight container and freeze 2–4 hours for firmer texture.
