I saw this one in Theory on Tuesday, it’s beautiful & says alot without you doing much. It’ll sit perfectly on a waistband, no need for tucking & the ruched sleeve will show off your wrists perfectly.

A check trouser is a great way to add colours into your outfit, in this outfit I’ve added in a blue knit, a similar colour to the blue that runs through the trouser, a coat & accessories.

Start basic & build up

The secret to elevating a basic outfit is to add extra items to it that always look like they belong together & create a visual experience for those seeing it.

In this outfit I started with a pair of wide leg jeans & a knit which in itself looks ok but we don’t want just ok, we want to feel great in our outfits.

Accessories will always add interest & tone, you then then layer up fabrics, textures & other items you love.

But you must always be true to your style identity, if you’re feeling a little lost right now, start basic & add pieces in that bring you joy & give you confidence.

The Super Elegant Tux

There's alot of the tux look floating around for this event season, the tux looks so elegant & sophisticated, yes, it can look masculine but you can soften it with accessories & your shoes.

It's really easy to take you from office to event should the need arise, all you have to do is wear the trousers all day with a different knit or jacket then swap to the matching jacket for the evening.
