HERE’S THE SECRET ⬇️ Coloring curly hair should be done in a curl-by-curl approach. Curly hair naturally sections itself into individual curls. USE THEM to your advantage by treating them as pre-sorted coloring sections! Hair has memory and will likely replicate the curl patterns they create by forming those ringlets again and again with the strands around it. So doesn’t it make the most sense to use those as a guide to coloring rather than trying to section off hair traditionally and force curls into an unnatural state that could potentially cause gaps or uneven tone when the courts reform later on. It also helps to use a lower volume developer (10-20 vol max) to avoid damaging the curl pattern. Low and slow is the name of the game here.
