5 emerging makeup trends to watch out for in Spring/Summer 2024

Remember, you don’t ‘have’ to follow a trend of course but some are fun.

1️⃣ Skin Tints - I feel like 2023 was amazing for the lived in skin look, like your skin but better feeling. Brands have really catered to that such as providing more coverage in their skin tints to include everyone. Personally, I am here for it all. 💁🏻‍♀️

2️⃣ Barbie Core was everywhere last year but we are seeing everywhere the bright blue and navy’s. From mascara to liner, it’s one to stay. 90’s/00’s makeup is on a comeback! Would you be brave enough to go for blue again?

3️⃣ Ballet soft makeup and hair has been seen all over the runways, with the soft blush and light shimmery eyes to give soft elegance. It showcases a light femininity approach with warm and nude pinks. This is one I’m not sure I’m here for?

4️⃣ Peach Fuzz is no surprise as it has been designated as Pantone’s colour of the year. I think we’ll be seeing a lot more brands coming out with peach products and pushing this colour on their feeds.

5️⃣ Korean skincare has been huge in 2023, I see Korean makeup looks being inspired by in 2024. Charlotte Tilbury is already ahead of the trend with her airbrush flawless lip blur. Are you for this or would you rather your overlined lips? I don’t think I’ll be putting down the liner soon. 😆

CATRICE SOFT GLAM GLOW FILTER
This tops all of the flawless filter dupes by a MILE!! It’s actually better in my opinion and just under €9! (Can buy in pharmacies and Penneys/primark)

Sculpted by Aimee bare basics in shade ‘peony’! This is the palette you didn’t think you needed. It has everything you need. It’s good for everyone.

Kash beauty ‘devotion’ lipstick - this is a new satin lipstick. It’s so wearable and a nice inbetween pink.

Collection cosmetics hydrating serum concealer! Where has this been my whole life, it’s so underrated. Blends in SECONDS! Feels invisible under the skin.

I always get asked what I would recommend from Sculpted by Aimee so here we go

1. Hydra lip - Berry. It’s stunning! It’s sheer but with good pigment.

2. Beauty base - rose golden. This is like if golden and rose base had a baby. It’s not as intense. Great for the days you like some glow but not too much.

3. Satin silk foundation. Let me tell you a little goes a long way with this! It’s so full coverage, long lasting and matte! Not the matte with a sheen. It’s matte.

4. Cream luxe - medium/Dark. I didn’t like this at the start. Now I love it. You don’t need to set it! So that’s a win.

5. Beauty base - oil control. I used this in 30 degree heat and not a bit of sweat was to be seen!

6. Hydra Tint - if you didn’t like tint and glow, you’ll love this! It’s so sheer but not too sheer. It’s matte, not shiny at all!

7. Cream luxe - plum pink! Such an underrated blush. It’s not spoken about at all. Not purple, not too pink. The inbetween.

8. Bare basics - I recently did a reel on this. It’s stunning. I do wish the setting powder was lighter. This is one of those ‘for all’ palettes. For the mom on the go, to throw in the handbag, to top up on a night out. The blush is a cream to powder. I’ve never used anything like it.

9. Brighten up concealer - I’ve gone through so many of these. They’re so hydrating and feels like nothing under your eyes. It is brightening!

10. Liquid lights - rosy glow! Ugh this isn’t spoken about enough, rosy glow gives pigment but at 12 mls, a little does go a long way!

11. Satin silk concealer - this is the ONLY full coverage concealer to not crease on me. This is perfect for an eyeshadow base too! It’s full full coverage! A tiny dot is all you need!

12. Again, I don’t know why I didn’t like this at first cause it’s stunning! It gives volume, length and long lasting! I find it better after a few weeks cause it dries a bit.
