I started this before the baby was here and I manage to hang one piece ever other week. Yes, wallpapering over wallpaper is a crime that deserves the harshest punishment but we plan to renovate this bathroom at some point. This is a temporary fix to cover the 90s wallpaper and give Elowen a cute place to bathe at night.

Okay fam let's talk. We've been lied to. Some influencers have shilled a particular mattress topper that is marketed as not getting hot. They forgot to mention their geographical location aka not Houston! So I purchased said topper, napped on it and woke up a sweaty mess. Then I tried again through the night to give the topper another chance. So then I had to go through the whole process of returning this massive thing that won't fit into the OG box. Save your time if you want to sleep on a cloud. this memory foam topper doesn't get hot at all and it's the most comfortable thing. it also comes with a cover that makes it part of your top mattress.

We are waiting on built in hardware still. Don't you like the frog tape drawer pulls?! Lol. But organizing has started. The best way to start organizing is to donate or toss what we haven't used during the renovation time when living upstairs. We installed the door last night and we love it!

the bathroom is finished! we are still waiting on the sliding door and the black hardware. I still need to hang the light above the freestanding tub and me the roman shade using curtain fabric.

While we wait for our bathroom renovation to finish, and for the door to arrive (back ordered 😭), I've started thinking about the organization phase of the project. Visuals help me make decisions and see the big picture. Everything for daily use will go in the top drawers and easy to reach spots.

Two full bathroom renovations while in nursing school is no joke. Thanks old house. This is the design board for the primary bath I've finally decided on most of the fixtures. Im still going back and forth on the mirror/light combo which means my brain doesn't shut down completely at night. Ideally, I'd like sconces and recessed lighting but our electrical isn't configured for that and I've changed enough already. 🤣 stay tuned. Our freestanding tub is on back order but should be soon. Oh! And the shower head arm I ordered won't be here until Julyish. But it's all in the details sooo. There is still so much prep work to do so delivery delays aren't a HUGE deal right now. Thankfully we have help because both of us are in school. The gentleman pulled off two layers off wallpaper and still managed to smile afterwards. Since the pandemic we've invested in a few comfort items for our home and this baby has been bringing joy since day one. I'm type B for sure but as I continue through school, type A tendencies are showing themselves. I organized our spice drawers and labeled all of the bottles. I am week three into #nursingschool and I'm shooketh. I didn't realize how nervous I would get taking my first quiz. My hands NEVER shake but they did. Every single time I tried to write something my pencil lead would break and I then ran out of eraser!! Talk about social anxiety and embarrassment. I know my face was red because I could feel it. It's always awkward to attend class and attempt to be social when really all I want to do is hide.
