Starting potty training soon? These 3 tips help your toddler feel more confident and familiar with the toilet before you even start. 1. Narrate when you go. We all know you don’t pee alone once you’re a mom, they’re always watching—say things to describe the sequence lile “pants go down” “we pee on the toilet” “we close the lid and flush” so they start to connect the dots. 2. Let them flush! It helps them get used to the loud sound and teaches cause & effect. (We have to help him push ours but he loves doing it) 3. Keep their potty chair out Set it up like yours so they can explore and practice sitting when they’re ready. Includes items you use like toilet paper, reading material 😉, and bonus if you have a wash station! As an OT and mom, I always recommend early exposure without pressure—just simple ways to build understanding through everyday routines. Save this if you’re in the potty learning stage or thinking about it soon! pottytrainingtips toddlerOT occupationaltherapy pottylearning toiletingindependence MomsofTikTok gentleparenting earlychildhooddevelopment LTKFamily LTKWatchNow LTKKids
