Welcome to my series: Operation find a foundation (for my asian skin tones) 🥰✨ Today we are trying out the famous @lorealparis True match foundation in shade W4 (unsponsored) 🫶🏼 I struggle with finding foundations for my skin tone that has a good undertone. Most of the time it shows on my skin too yellow or sometimes even too gray. If you have an Asian skin tone, you probably know the struggle. Here’s what I personally look for when testing foundations: 1. Undertone: Are you warm, cool, or neutral? Matching your undertone is key for the best result. I have a combination of warm/cool tones. 2. Find a foundation based off of your skin type. Are you oily, dry, or combo skin? I have combination and sensitive skin, so I always like to go for a buildable formula and fragrance free. 3. What type of finish are you looking for? Matte: Controls shine, great for oily skin or long wear. Dewy/Glowy: Luminous look, great for dry or mature skin. Natural/Satin: Balanced finish-skin-like with a soft glow. Depending on the season, I like to switch it up! During Summer I like a Matte finish for days I will be outside all day long, and a dewy finish for more indoor events. ✅ Save this for your next makeup trip! 💟 Let me know if there’s a brand you want me to try next What type of Foundation finish do you prefer?
