I designed this space around a few pieces my client already owned (the rattan house basket, IKEA Kallax unit, lamps, and dresser) and a children’s book that’s very special to her: The Little Blue Cottage. We pulled in soft blue accents, striped bedding, and white bird details as subtle nods to the story, while keeping everything cozy, calm, and timeless.
The goal was a nursery that feels warm and eclectic, but still light and soothing — layered with natural textures like rattan and wood, soft mauve florals, dusty blue tones, and vintage-inspired details. It’s the kind of room that grows with your child and still feels special years from now.
