Cleaning & disinfecting tools keeps bacteria away from your clean hair & scalp.

How to clean your Hair Tools:
1️⃣Clean your sink & then fill with warm water & clarifying shampoo (no harsh household cleaners)
2️⃣Remove hair from tools & soak for 5min
3️⃣Rinse tools & scrub off any remaining product buildup
4️⃣Disinfect tools:
Add 1part rubbing alcohol + 1part water to a spray bottle. Saturate tools & let sit for 10min
5️⃣Rinse tools and dry with a clean towel

Tip: Store your brushes & tools in a clean space for further protection from unwanted particles. Lay brushes flat & upright to protect the bristles. Linked a few of my go-to tools here👇🏽

Diffuse or Air Dry⁉️

When I started my natural hair journey, I was nervous to use any of my hot tools for fear of damaging my hair again. So I always chose to air dry my wash & go styles. But I’ve learned over the years that applying heat to your hair is fine, as long as you take care of it! I love using my Dyson Supersonic Hair Dryer & diffuser attachment and my results are💯! #trusttheprocess

**Need a more affordable version? Try the TYMO!

Here are 3 diffusing TIPS:
1️⃣Set your diffuser to low heat & low speed to minimize damage (apply a heat protectant to your hair before you start!)
2️⃣Hover diffuser over your hair and rotate all around while focusing on drying the roots first (a gel cast will form in this step which will lock your style)
3️⃣Cup your ends with your diffuser to encourage your curls to form (flipping your hair forward or side-side while drying adds volume)

I usually complete these steps until my hair is 90-95% dry. Once fully dry, I’ll scrunch with some oil on my hands to break the gel cast a bit and then pick my roots for added volume. And Voilà💁🏽‍♀️✨

THANK YOU Fly Maya Belize for a safe domestic flight to my destination in Belize. I’ve never been on such a small plane before - these fit about 10-12 passengers total. Since I was flying solo, I was assigned the back seat on arrival and then front seat, as co-pilot on departure! Wow, this flight experience is one for the books & one I will remember for a lifetime!!!✈️🇧🇿 #solotraveladventures
