For the past eight years, my client’s formal living room has doubled as a full-time playroom. Toys, crafts, and kid-life have made this space well-loved—but definitely not “formal living room” material.

Now that her kids are older, she was ready to reclaim this room as a sophisticated, inviting space where she can host guests, unwind at the end of the day, and finally enjoy a grown-up living room.
