Long story short, the shampoo matters. To get the best results on a silk press, curly hair twist out, or blown out hairstyle you do need to look at the shampoo and its benefits. How much you spend doesn’t mean it is better but the ingredients, how moisturizing, if it helps control dandruff makes a difference. My scalp can get dry and flaky so I will use an anti dandruff shampoo for my first wash and then go in with a hydrating shampoo for my 2nd wash before my silk press. I do this because with a curly style I could just add a little scalp serum or oil but don’t want to do this for a silk press to avoid it reverting. You also want a shampoo that smells like you just stepped out of the salon and that doesn’t smell too strong to handle ✨ LTKSummerEdit LTKStyleTip LTKBeauty
