Therapy Visit 4 and apparently Artemis is a regular now. 😂🐾 My baby was actually excited this time! He walked himself right on back like he knew exactly where he was going. 🥹❤️ Also, Dorian put the WRONG weight in this video and I would like the record to reflect that MY BABY IS NOT GETTING FATTER. 😒😂 I've really started to treasure this time with Artemis. I love watching him get more comfortable with therapy, and I've even started looking forward to seeing everyone at the clinic each visit. Rehab visit #5 for Artemis… with Apollo along for support. 🐾💙

Well, “support” may be generous. 😂 Apollo mostly gave us attitude and made it very clear he was not impressed with being there.

The funniest part was the glasses. We put them on him upside down, and this boy immediately started walking stiff-legged like he couldn’t see. 😭 I don’t think he liked them one bit.

Meanwhile, Artemis did what he came to do and kept putting those little legs to work.

No lunch stop after therapy today—too much waiting for me at home. Straight back to the grind. 💻🐾

Well, apparently Artemis’ new extracurricular activity is officially part of our routine now. 😂🐾

Artemis went back to therapy!

And can I tell y’all something? The whole time I was watching this video I kept thinking…

“Awww, I love that pug. I wish Artemis was my baby.”

Then I remembered.

Girl. He IS my baby. 😂❤️

This time there was a whole lot less consultation and a whole lot more WORK.

Mr. Artemis had exercises to do, little legs to strengthen and people expecting him to participate like he had personally signed up for this program. 😂

Artemis: “I don't remember agreeing to any of this.”

But y’all…look at my baby. 🥹 He did so good.

And I have to give Dorian his credit on this one. He came with us, filmed Artemis’ session and put this entire video together himself. Watching the appointment back through his footage somehow made me fall in love with that little pug all over again.

We’re still taking this one appointment at a time and hoping all this work helps our little guy get stronger and more comfortable.

And apparently, we now have ourselves a series. 😂

I finally saved enough to take Artemis back to the vet for his luxating patella… only to find out he also has hip dysplasia. 💔

The surgery options involved anesthesia risks, a painful recovery, and no guarantee the results would last. That was not something I felt comfortable putting my baby through.

I’ve tried joint chews before, but getting him to take several consistently was a struggle. This powder was much easier. I mixed one scoop into the food I already cook for them, and every bowl was cleaned.

This is only day one, so I’m not claiming a miracle. I’m simply happy to have found something easy enough to use consistently and something they will actually eat.
