Farewell London! 🇬🇧
I always wear layers for long travel days. A t-shirt is the bottom layer, in case it’s warm on the plane, then a sweater or sweatshirt and in this case my bulkiest coat because there wasn’t room to pack it. I also travel with a cashmere sweater or scarf (lightweight but warm) which is atop my suitcase handle here. It’s great for around my neck or as a makeshift blanket.

My “travel pants” feel like yoga pants, stretchy with an elastic waistband, but look like trousers.

I travel with two small roller bags because I find they are easier to maneuver, lift etc. than one large heavy suitcase. My husband had my other. This one is expandable; it’s fantastic!

TIP: The London tube goes right to Heathrow airport so that’s what we did. Many stations have escalators, some have elevators. Plan accordingly depending how much luggage you have.

Spring travel outfits.
A nice alternative to a blazer or jean jacket is a work jacket, also called a barn coat. This was the perfect layer with temps in the 60s or low 70s. And the boxy cut makes it easy to layer underneath.

I love this butter yellow color for spring. 🌼

Even with great weather on my spring trip to the UK, I needed layers. Here, I wore a black cashmere sweater with a favorite blazer on top. I love this pub-striped beauty by Smythe. It’s many years old so I am linking similar options but a couple of favorite brands.

White sneakers were in order for a day of walking — we went 18,000 steps! And I had a light packable raincoat in my tote bag, just in case.

Vacation outfit

What to wear in London? When in doubt, a blazer. It’s the perfect layer for evening and to elevate a simple outfit. I either wore my loafers or white sneakers with this outfit, depending how much walking I was doing.

My jacket is Veronica Beard and this style comes in other patterns as well, if stock is low. I sized up.

📍The Devonshire restaurant was fantastic; best sticky toffee pudding I’ve ever had. Reserve ahead

The wisteria in London 🇬🇧 is stunning in April. A great place to see it is the west end are of Kensington.

Vacation outfit 🌼

Another lovely spring day in London 🇬🇧! With cool mornings I needed a cozy layer and this yellow cashmere sweater was perfect. Lightweight but cozy and I love the hit of color. My cotton trousers are very comfy and machine washable. My color is no longer stocked but there lots of other options and they come in two lengths.

BTW - Ottolenghi is a fantastic café in Notting Hill.

🇬🇧Hello from London! I’ve been here the last week and having a marvelous time with lovely spring weather🌷Varying temps have meant layering with sweaters and blazers. I haven’t needed my raincoat! I wore this adorable new Barbour sweater to dinner at the pub. I bought it in London but it’s available at Nordstrom. It’s a bit oversized and very cozy!
