This was so difficult! I just couldn’t answer off the top of my head so I had to do a head to head and even then!! So so similar but Hydraluminous comes out on top for me.

The Sephora is a heavier coverage and more of a satin finish initially so on first impressions I’d say that was the nicer of the two on my skin - BUT - over the course of the day that side was a lot oilier than the No7 side. The No7 felt lighter on the skin and after the first hour they looked pretty similar so that more perfected initial look from the Sephora foundation didn’t last.

Worth noting - I didn’t powder or use any kind of setting spray because I wanted the products to stand on their own. This isn’t necessarily how I’d wear them in reality but it was a really interesting test since they’re two of my absolute favourites.

Absolutely love this @urbandecayuki Sin palette! I shied away from pink tones when they were “in” but this is so versatile and gives warmth without looking like I have an eye infection 🤣

I really only picked this up because I wanted to try more of @sephorauk own range when it launched here in The UK so I wasn’t expecting to love it but here we are. Two things sold me on this foundation,

The finish

2 The SHADE (17.5N)

I’m embarassed to tell you that 11 years in to this beauty blogging lark I realised I’d probably been erring on the wrong side of fair/medium and that a foundation that is too pale is far less forgiving than one that’s too deep. The number of reviews I’d like to go back and retest is painful. A base that’s too light will exhaggerate every imperfection but I’d been raised on such a fear of the ‘tide mark’ that if it was between two, I always went lighter.

So, that isn’t a win for this particular foundation but it’s worth noting because it may have swayed my opinion a little.

Coverage - Medium

Finish - Satin/Dewy - very natural

Wear - For a glowy foundation it wears reall well on my oily skin

Packaging - Glass bottle with a pump . I will say, it’s not a cheap foundation but the packaging doesn’t feel particularly luxe. I don’t have an issue with it but it’s nothing special.

If I was comparing this to the Collection Lasting Perfection Glow that I reviewed earlier in the week, this is my winner but it’s almost 3 times the price. This is less drying and looks nicer on the skin but that one has more staying power. I’d say if you’re really quite dry, you’ll prefer this one whereas if you’re looking for longer wear and are less bothered about finish, The Collection one may be more your thing.

I saw so many mixed reviews, I was going in with the plan to hammer it for a month and if it wasn’t for me, I was sending it back - but when I tell you it was love at first use..

I saw an IMMEDIATE difference. It lifted my jowls and my cheek bones and gave my face structure that it’s just never had. I have what I refer to as ‘ a lot of face’, all of my features are in the centre and it’s just a lot of cheek space with very little holding it up. People who age well tend to have fantastic bone structure and I’d resigned myself to my own face steadling collapsing in to my neck over time.

I honestly expected so little from a 5 minute facial massage but I sent a photo to a friend and she was so impressed she wanted the link.

NuFace recommend that you use the device every day at first and then 3 - 5 time a week. Most die hard fans use it daily and seem to be very realistic about the lasting effects. This is a temporary lift so a morning once over with your skincare routine is the best time to use it. That said, I’ve also heard people say they’ve noticed a more lasting result when using it for an extended period. I can see it being like sit ups.. you can get a six pack but if you stop working out, you don’t get to keep it.

I haven’t been able to get to my regular mail appointment lately so I pulled out some of my old staple neutrals. I used to enjoy painting my own nails but between the drying time and how quickly they chip, I think I’m a forever gel/acrylic convert now

A few years ago I finally gave up on finding a bikini I felt good in (though that has changed recently) and embraced the one piece. I discovered that a high leg gave me shape where there was none and I know exactly the shape that works for me now. If you’re a petite apple, I think you’ll like these too!

I was searching for these pyjamas the other day but I suspect they were thrown in a “donate” pile by mistake. I’ve lost some irreplaceable stuff that way over the years in an overzealous declutter.

Thankfully there are so many printed pjs available now. I’m definitely picking up a new pair for our next trip!

I tried on this gorgeous AllSaints Hadley satin slip dress yesterday in the hope the white one might work for our vegas wedding but I actually prefer the other colours.
