Feeling really grateful after spending birthday week in Aspen. Thank you for all the birthday messages. I read every single one and they meant so much to me. I never take that kind of love for granted. Ani’s surprise birthday post was hilarious! Might have been my favorite gift 🤪 I was crying laughing. I attempted to ski again. Emphasis on attempted. Learning something like skiing as an adult is humbling in a way no one prepares you for. Ayah is officially a level 4.5 (wtf?!?!), and Alana is a level 3. The girls love ski school so much they asked for an extra day. Meanwhile, the first time we “skied as a family” basically meant I was left alone on the mountain trying to survive. Aspen is such a great place to learn though. The runs are wide and beginner friendly, and they give you just enough confidence to keep going. And the dinners. That’s what I love most about Aspen. Long days outside, then getting dressed up and sitting down for the best meals. My birthday week always falls during the girls’ winter break, so skiing has slowly become our little tradition. I don’t take that for granted either. These trips, these moments, they feel really special to me. Grateful for another year.
