I still remember buying my first “real” pair of jeans. Do you? Circa 2010. I walked into EVEREVE and left with a pair of low-rise AG bootcut jeans that I absolutely wore to death — from the office to weekends out with friends. That cut reigned supreme for a long time. So if you’ve been living in that low-rise era for years — and now higher rises feel intimidating or unfamiliar — trust me when I say... I get it.  But here’s the truth: It’s hard to style lower rises with today’s on-trend tops. AND, sorry to say, your outfits look dated. So if you want to look more modern, a higher rise bottom is a great choice. The best place to start easing into higher rise jeans: A HIGHER-RISE BOOTCUT OR STRAIGHT LEG.  I’ve rounded up my go-to pairs at a few different price points. My personal stylist tips: * These cuts still have the vibe and silhouette you’re used to...but with the more modern rise. * They are hard-working styles in your wardrobe and can be worn with so many things. * Look for a 10" to 10.5" rise. Not sky high. Not too low. Just an easy, comfortable in-between that works for most body types. LTKOver40 LTKStyleTip
