A rare sighting....⚫️⬛️◼️‼️

It was 🖤 at first sight when I saw this sweatshirt dress. Seldom do black garments move me into action, but the exaggerated neck, cuffs with thumb holes, maxi length and cozy comfort sent me ⬆️⬆️🏃🏾‍♀️. Most times I lead with color, but the details matter just as much.

It's important to remain open and experimental in style, otherwise things could be very boring 🥱.

I believe we can set a tone for our day. If we get up and declare it will be a dope ass day, the mind is already positioned to see all the good things that happen, no matter how small they are. Small negative things are less likely to bother us.

The reverse is also true. If we start with an expectation of a bad day, that's the lens through which we will view everything that happens.

When I choose an outfit for the day, I'm speaking to myself. A dope fit is the start to a dope ass day.

Probably not what they mean when they say you're looking like a snack, but it's official...I'm a snack. A happy one at that. Different pronunciation though. I'm Say-bra, the hummus is Sah-bra. Either way, snack happy.

Hubby and I went to Vegas for the annual SEMA automotive show and my outfit coordinated perfectly with a car I really despise (as a consumer vehicle), the Hummer. Like, why?

I hope this outfit encourages you to combine pieces that dont "go" together. Camo and western-inspired boots and belt buckle aren't obvious friends, but....it works.🙌🏾

Four years in, and this is first year we’ll have Christmas decorations at our vacation house.

Since my Mom’s passing 5 days before Christmas in 2023, my family has gathered at this home we purchased together to spend some uninterrupted quality time for a few days after Christmas. This year, I wanted to make it feel more festive.

A lot has changed since I last shopped for Christmas decorations. I’m loving these tree collars…I had never seen that before! Also didn’t realize bulbs are shatterproof these days.🫣😆

Story time: On this day I planned to stay home, practice my makeup skills, and put away laundry. The makeup session happened, and the laundry put away started.

Hubby came home in the afternoon and reminded me that I previously said we'd run by an event in support of a small brewery business we support.🙄 Time was short, and my Dad was coming over for dinner that had yet to be cooked.

Anywho, I pulled something together quickly (face was already done)..🙌🏾..and off we went. We had a good time and would have stayed longer than sn hour had we not invited Dad over for dinner.

As we were leaving, I was asked to take a picture. Okay, cool. I'm thinking it's a quick candid shot. Instead they take us back to a room with a photo study..and BAM!...I'm modeling product.😲😲 Let's go!

A last minute looked pulled together with little time. It started with the jacket and everything else fell into place. I love the result.

Story: A person asked me today, "Did you have these clothes when you came to work here, or are you just so well compensated that you can just keep buying clothes. I've never seen you in the same outfit twice."😲🤣 Ummm, what!?

Last minute fits are sometimes the best. When I ran out of time the other morning I grabbed this recently thrifted A.L.C. jumpsuit. One and done, but I had some things to give it life.

I added earrings my Mom thrifted, thrifted scarf, belt, and an old pair of cowboy booties.

I'm also gonna give a little respect to my makeup. It's looking pretty good at the end of the day. You may or may not be aware that I'm learning the skill of applying makeup. I know I'm gonna need this skill in the near future. I need to be ready.

What types of styles or clothes are on your "I would never" list?

White shoes (except sneakers) were in my top five until these boots grabbed my attention last year. I couldn't understand the gravitational pull, but I couldn't deny the attraction.

Well, it turned out to be the right decision. They quickly became a favorite, and look great with more outfits that I previously imagined. [I never let myself imagine because I hate white shoes...allegedly].

Anywho, next like something on your "never" list, try it. You might love it.

Recently when, but not posted for some reason..

This outfit is proof that you don't need to make an impression with an outfit. Just don't something a little unexpected.

The receptionist at our financial advisors office was in love with this fit of denim shirt + horseshoe jeans. I'm not sure if it was the leopard print and stripes combo or the pussybow on the denim shirt, but her reaction was 😲😍.

The craziest event I've seen thus far is Kayak Cross. I didn't even know kayaking was an Olympic sport.

It's not a gold medal 🥇, but it shines as bright. I don't know about you, but I'm obsessed with the Olympics. As soon as I get home or finish work, I'm scrolling through the events of the day. Right now, I'm watching Freestyle BMX...but I'm ready, ready for track & Field.

I'm inspired by folks who have trained their whole lives to compete in an event that lasts less than one minute, in some cases. The dedication, focus and commitment are 🤯.

Big denim cuffs are my current obsession. These are some favorites I’ve come across.

The Cinq á Cept pair are very lightweight and stretchy. The Grlfrnd pair are true 100% denim, no stretch. The Edikted pair has mixed reviews. I haven’t tried them.

Tailored bustier and cargo pants is a vibe for Spring .
