Still wearing the same jeans & sweater? You don’t need new clothes — just new styling.
Here’s how to look elegant after 50 (using what’s already in your closet).
One simple switch — from skinny jeans to wide-leg neutral trousers — can instantly make you look more elegant (and taller!).
I styled them three different ways using pieces most of us already have in our closets:

Look 1: Chocolate brown wide-leg pants + brown polka-dot top — my Pretty Woman moment. This monochrome brown on brown look will make you look taller and slimmer.
Look 2: Same trousers, but with a blue button—down shirt. Brown and blue looks quietly polished. adding a yellow purse for pop of color.
Look 3: Swap for a pink top or powder pink if you own any. This color combo with brown is very popular right now.
Look 4: Classic combo of brown and olive or khaki green - ever so popular, especially in the Fall.

You probably already have neutral basics like these in your closet — beige, brown, black, navy, or white. You don’t need to shop; you just need to style smarter. Shop your own closet this Fall!

Want to dress comfortably while running errands? No need to sacrifice style! Wear your t-shirt and leggings with sporty sneakers but replace your puffer jacket and old fashioned bag for timeless camel coat and modern purse. If it’s warm, swap the coat for a trench or a long camel cardigan. Add a baseball cap and you will look like you jumped from the Pinterest picture.

Make sure to keep your outfit colors to 3 maximum for polished look. In my case it’s brown, black and white .

Do you have your favorite outfit that you tend to grab when you leave home in a rush? I call it my uniform. It’s an outfit I grab without thinking. The only changing pieces are my coat and boots/sneakers cause they are weather dependent. I live in blazers when it is warmer. Blazers elevate even the most casual look. Elevate your look and make your body look slimmer in 2 minutes. Use the thin stretchy belt or a detachable bra straps to “shorten “ your blouse or button down under sweater to a right length. It should be slightly peaking under your sweater not hanging to your mind d thighs.

For a slimmer look choose right proportions for your body shape. The skirt should hit the slimmer part of your calves and the waist should be emphasized. You will look slimmer but also slick and polished. Save for the holiday outfit inspiration .

1. Reverse Drape tuck. You can also wear it on your head as a balaclava with this tuck.
2. Parisian Knot
3. Milanese Knot
4. Half loop - easy and elegant. Will stay in place with a brooch. I love this oversized safety pin brooch with pearls.

Choose monochrome colors or high contrast like grey with red.
