Sharing a few stills of my kitchen today. I switched over to my seagrass tray because it’s officially June and I always think seagrass looks so summery & beachy. And would you believe that beautiful glazed & fluted vase on my sink counter is from Home Depot? I actually got it over the winter to use as a pot for my countertop trees - as you’ll see in my last photo (& it comes in 3 sizes!) Now I’m using it for my summer greenery. I love using pieces year-round in different ways throughout my home. You don’t need to buy new things each season! It’s all in how you style it.

You guys, these hydrangeas are SO pretty, and totally maintenance-free! Never worry about watering again and at this price, ($30 each) they are well worth every penny. I put mine in Walmart’s cream fluted resin planters and I love the way it looks on my front porch. I might’ve need to grab another set for my new back deck too!

Normally I’d agree that Dollar Tree florals can look pretty fake, but look how pretty this front door arrangement came out! I paired them with my Walmart cherry blossoms. The trick when using cheap florals is to tuck them into higher quality stems, or even add them to real florals as a border, and they can make such a fun statement! I also found this adorable bunting and love how the whole thing came out!

A white kitchen in the morning spring sunlight just hits different.

A few years ago, we did some cosmetic updates to our kids’ bathroom. It’s shared by my two sons and my daughter so we didn’t want anything too gender-specific. And, I wanted it to feel clean, open and airy. I chose the paint color Sculptor’s Clay because it looked like beach sand. And, I went with matte black hardware to add visual depth and contrast against the creamy white vanity. Then I layered in some open wood shelving for storage, some natural wood decor, and touches of navy to add that classic coastal feel. Last, I added an oversized canvas of a beautiful ocean scene. I think it came out perfect and the whole refresh was under $500! 🌊💙🤍

It’s a drizzly Friday but the sun will come out tomorrow! And tomorrow is going to be a very big deal because it’s officially college graduation day for my first born. Hard to believe it’s been 18 years since we dropped him off at Pre-K. I’m so proud of everything he’s accomplished! I’ll be sharing lots of pics to my story, so be sure to follow along!

Why is it that most patriotic displays look a little tacky to me? I’m pretty finicky about my home decor. It has to look classic, and you know I love that signature New England charm. But everything I see in the stores just takes it a little too far. That’s why this simple vase with the classic fabric flag is the perfect touch. Just enough. It was an easy craft using a dollar tree flag, and some Modge Podge, but definitely elevates the whole look from Dollar Tree kitsch to Pottery Barn Patriotic. (And yes, I have a weakness for anything red & gummy - you can have ALL the chocolate if you save me the red skittles, fish or starburst!)

Today I’m sharing my front porch Walmart haul! After redoing the decking on our front porch last fall, I felt like it deserved a refresh. Nothing like new pillows, new planters and a few scattered lanterns to create a full aesthetic makeover. We love spending time on the front porch and having it feel cozy and pretty without spending a bundle was a total score!
