My pregnancy safe belly skin care routine So let me preface this by saying that your body is growing a whole human. No matter if you get stretch marks or not, it is such a blessing to be able to carry life. My myomectomy scars from my fibroid surgery alway stretch during my pregnancy and I am so self conscious of them. But they are also the reasons why I have my babies so I have learned to embrace them. I know we get tired of hearing it but stretch marks truly are mostly genetic. Some people don’t have to do anything and get no stretch marks and some people do all the things and use all the products and still get them. We do know that some things help such as hydration, maintaining a healthy weight and remembering that no single treatment works for everyone. Retinols are great for stretch marks but you should not use retinol during pregnancy. According to the American academy of dermatology, researchers have found that products containing Centella or hyaluronic acid may help prevent stretch marks. These are the two staples I use most nights for my belly. I also love Vaseline products to finish off my belly routine and the Vita B3 and the shimmer oil are my two current favorites. I cannot believe we are nearing the end and though the end of pregnancy is the absolute ghetto I am still thankful for this journey. LTKMidsize LTKBump LTKFindsUnder100
