Out of all of the things she was going through, I’m so grateful for her unwavering hope and optimism. ✨ She struggled with finding where she belonged and the idea of being greater than what she was. But she never gave up hope that someday she’d get there. For some time it was about making her parents and family proud but later it evolved into simply making 𝙝𝙚𝙧 𝙥𝙧𝙤𝙪𝙙. When you grow up struggling to be ‘enough’ for the people you love so dearly, it follows in every area of your life if you’re not careful. Never getting the response or approval you desired can break your spirit… One of the most valuable lessons I’ve learned in my 20s is to only focus on what is within your control.. God can handle the rest. In the past I lived for others but today, I can honestly say I live for me [and God always 🖤].
