From nursery to big boy room 🥹💙 comment SHOP for links

While we were moving into this house I was 37 weeks pregnant with Covid and he came 2 weeks later, so my son’s nursery was bare minimum. When he was ready to transition to a big boy bed, I knew I wanted to transform this room and make it special for him!

I started by finding & building this Pottery Barn look-a-like bunk bed from Wayfair! I painted the trim and doors a deep midnight blue, and added pinch-pleat curtains and no-drill shades from Amazon that made the biggest difference! I knew I wanted to add a cool accent wall and found these wood slats that made the perfect backdrop to the basketball goal I added!

Watching his little nursery become a space that feels completely his has been so bittersweet. And we’re not finished yet… stay tuned for Part II to see the rest of the room come together including the basketball goal and fun light that I DIY’d👀

Before: builder grade lights and no decor… my stairwell felt so empty and cold compared to the rest of our house.

After: custom lighting, cozy vibes and beautiful decor to warm up this space to make it flow with the rest of my home!

Upgrading these lights, adding a mirror to reflect more light, a cozy rug and this beautiful faux olive tree was exactly what this space needed!
