A closer look at our recent mudroom project 👀

….I’m still swooning over it 😍

Not only did we tackle the mudroom, but our team was also able to tweak a few more spaces while we were there:

▫️Garage: We utilized the plastic command hooks that were in the mudroom to create a drop zone for sports bags in the garage ⚾️

▫️Coat Closet: By relocating the gift wrap to the guest room closet, we were able to clear out the coat closet and make it more functional 🧥

▫️Guest Room Closet: After doing some decluttering, we moved some toys to the playroom closet so the gift wrap could fit into this space 🎁

Time for a Tuesday Transformation 🤩

When it comes to organizing a playroom, the two main essentials are decluttering and creating zones ✨

Kids thrive with less options 🙌🏻 consider only keeping the toys they play with the most and scaling back on categories that are overflowing (i.e. if they have 30 cars, try bringing that number down to 15 or 20)

Another option is to create a toy rotation system 🧸 every few months switch out different categories to keep kids interested and engaged 🧠

Once you have your toy categories in place, create distinct zones: Pretend Play, The Book Nook, Arts & Crafts, Puzzles & Games etc. 🧩

No matter the size of your playroom, having zones of play creates a functional space in which your kids can learn, thrive and spark joy ☺️

It’s a gloomy day here in CT but it’s the perfect day to tackle your fridge 🍎🥕🍋🥬🫐🍆

1️⃣ Take everything out and wipe down the inside of your fridge 🧼
2️⃣ Get rid of anything old, expired or that you no longer use
3️⃣ Measure all of the shelves and drawers 📏
4️⃣ Plan out what product you need - will you decant your eggs in a drawer? Do you need a bin for yogurts? Turntable for condiments? Sometimes it helps to draw everything out so you can see it and make tweaks ✍️
5️⃣ Sort your items into like categories and organize them into various bins 🙌🏻
6️⃣ Optional: Label 🏷️ when it comes to your fridge, the things you buy can frequently change so I don’t love labeling everything in the fridge - label things that won’t differ like eggs and condiments, or create really vague categories like meat and veggies 🥦
