I always knew I could do quiet time with my kids around. And for a while, that’s exactly what I did—Bible open with someone tugging at my sleeve or climbing into my lap. It counted. It was good. It’s still good. But eventually, I started to crave stillness—time with the Lord that came before it was time to serve. Not because it was more spiritual. But because a girl just wanted to sit in silence. ☺️ And that’s when I realized: Creating margin wasn’t just about what I wanted… it was about what I needed to sustain this calling well. The rhythms I set in place—the evening resets, the early bedtimes, the morning anchors—weren’t about being productive for the sake of productivity. They were about building a life that allowed me to serve from a place of overflow instead of exhaustion. It’s my form of self care, if you will. I stopped chasing “balance” and started stewarding my time like a resource. Because when you stop living in constant reaction mode… you make room for things that truly matter… If you want mornings that feel less chaotic and more calm, here are 3 gentle shifts that helped me get here: 👉🏻 1. Reset the night before. An evening reset (kitchen + living room) gives me margin in the morning. No scrambling. Just breathing room. I teach this rhythm in my GRACE system—it’s one of my biggest game changers. 👉🏻 2. Build your bedtime rhythm first. You don’t need a stricter morning alarm—you need a softer wind-down. Consider your habits at night before bed. Are you late night scrolling or binge watching? Could you shift this? 👉🏻 3. Set up your morning as a gift. Set out your Bible, your book, your journal, and pick a space you love. Decide the night before what tomorrow’s 3 priorities are. When your morning invites you in instead of demands from you—it changes everything. Because I chose rhythms that create margin… and margin that gives me access to peace…. I’m no longer scrambling just to survive it all.
Morning Routine
Simple fall craft with an easy set up! Using a leaf punch, we punch out different fall colors. I paint a tree with branches on watercolor paper. The boys punch out leaves and glue them on to the branches & grass. Simple, low prep craft ideas #LTKHalloween #LTKKids #LTKHoliday

Air dry clay pumpkins are super simple, minimal mess, and make fun decorations! We created our pumpkins today using air dry clay and toothpicks. We made loops in our stems so they can be strung together when they dry! We mixed different colors of orange with beige, brown, and yellow so our pumpkins would be different shades of orange! #LTKKids #LTKSeasonal #LTKHalloween
Screen Free
Homeschool language arts day with multiple grades. We work specifically on reading comprehension, writing practice, and learning letter sounds. We start our morning with quick win table activities. Our lessons were quick and to the point so we could get out the door by 9:30am. We will take our learning on the go with us through podcasts, life, and library trips! #LTKFamily #LTKKids

Learn how to make elderberry syrup using this Elderberry Syrup Recipe 👇🏻👇🏻 INGREDIENTS * 4 1/2 cups filtered water * 1 cup Organic Elderberries * 2 inches fresh ginger diced * 2 cinnamon sticks (Or 1 Tablespoon ground cinnamon) * 3-5 cloves * 1 sliced orange *optional* * 1/4 - 1/2 cup raw local honey INSTRUCTIONS 1. In a medium saucepan, combine the water, dried elderberries, cinnamon sticks, clove, and ginger * Heat on medium heat until the mixture starts to boil. Reduce heat to simmer and cover with a lid. * Simmer for about 45 min - 1 hour, stirring occasionally. * Remove from heat and allow it to cool. Pour the syrup through a strainer into a glass bowl. Use the back of a spoon to squeeze any remaining juice out of the berries. Discard the elderberries. * Pour in to a jar with honey. For sweeter syrup, use 1/2 cup. #LTKFamily #LTKActive
