Two pieces of rustic French pottery that instantly make a shelf feel collected. The tall cruche is a beautiful antique earthenware vessel believed to originate from the Gers region of Gascony in southwest France — an area known for its simple, utilitarian farmhouse pottery. Its dark charcoal clay body and sculptural handle make it a striking piece for shelf styling or kitchen counters. Paired beside it is a small primitive pantry pot with the same rich charcoal patina. Pieces like this were traditionally used for storing salt, confit, or small pantry staples in French country kitchens. I love layering vessels like these together — the difference in height and form creates that effortless, timeworn European feel. Both pieces are available now in my Etsy shop. Objects with a past — curated and collected in France. LTKHome
