Modern Classic primary bedroom with a light and airy feel.

A recent shot of our primary bedroom styled dresser. This dresser was a refinish project inspired by the gorgeous Pottery Barn Sausilito dresser. I painted it to look like wood and changed the hardware. I recently added this curved white vase with artificial snowball hydrangeas I found on Amazon and a set of blue shagreen stacking boxes from Target. To finish off this side of the primary bedroom I added a neutral cozy reading swivel chair and a lamp.

If you love the cream white snowball flower from Afloral, this is a great look-for-less option — just $4 a stem vs. $44, and it’s from Amazon! 🙌

I love my Afloral stems, but when I wanted to recreate the look in our bedroom, I went searching for something a little more budget-friendly — and this version totally hit the mark.

I used 8 stems in this arrangement, bending the wires slightly to give it that soft, organic shape. The Target exaggerated side-brim vase was the perfect vessel to finish the look.

Cozy, Fresh, & Refined Casual Primary Bedroom🤍

Moving forward, my goal for our home is to be more intentional with every space. I’ve started choosing three words to set the tone for each room. I’m letting these themes guide my decisions on what to bring in and what to remove because it doesn’t serve the space’s purpose.
For our primary bedroom, my three words are cozy, fresh, and refined casual:
Cozy: Bedrooms should always feel cozy. Think layers of soft bedding and plush rugs.
Fresh: I wanted a clean, light, and airy atmosphere. For the room to feel awake when the curtains are open and the bed is made and a color palette is calm and serene.
Refined Casual: I aimed for a balance—livable and casual, yet with understated elegance and refinement that comes from intentional choices.

As I was looking around our bedroom, it was fun to see how many Lowe’s finds we’ve incorporated into this space! Our latest addition is these gorgeous glass lamps on our nightstands. I’d been searching for tall lamps that didn’t feel bulky, and these are just perfect!
We also added an oversized mirror, which has been such a lovely upgrade. I’ve recently shared our black nightstands with open shelving—but since I’ve swapped the hardware, and it completely elevated the look. (Message me if you want details on the hardware change!) This upholstered swivel chair is my favorite spot in our room to sit and do some work.
And for the first time ever, we’re enjoying a full-size Christmas tree in our bedroom. 🎄 This Balsam Hill tree has been such a cozy addition, and it’s still on sale for $100 off!
