A recent shot of our primary bedroom styled dresser. This dresser was a refinish project inspired by the gorgeous Pottery Barn Sausilito dresser. I painted it to look like wood and changed the hardware. I recently added this curved white vase with artificial snowball hydrangeas I found on Amazon and a set of blue shagreen stacking boxes from Target. If you love the cream white snowball flower from Afloral, this is a great look-for-less option — just $4 a stem vs. $44, and it’s from Amazon! 🙌 I love my Afloral stems, but when I wanted to recreate the look in our bedroom, I went searching for something a little more budget-friendly — and this version totally hit the mark. I used 8 stems in this arrangement, bending the wires slightly to give it that soft, organic shape. I was so impressed with the quality of this brass-colored curtain rod from Walmart! Still not over the transformation these additions made in our bathroom! 💙 The light blue curtains instantly elevated the look, while the remote-controlled bamboo shades completely changed the function of the space. Classic white kitchens never go out of style 🤍 We wanted ours to feel warm + timeless, so we layered in wood barstools, engineered wood floors, wicker accents, warm metals (brass cup pulls + copper decor), and contrasted it all with black quartz countertops around the perimeter and a marble look quartz for the island. For finishes, we chose satin-glazed subway tile for the backsplash and polished nickel for the plumbing fixtures — including the bridge faucet + pot filler ✨ Our inset cabinets are color-matched to Benjamin Moore White Dove, which is also our wall color, for a seamless look. We bought our wooden counter stools at a local warehouse 4 years ago, so I don’t have an exact link to purchase online, but I’ve found some that look identical as well as a few that give a similar look without being exact. You can browse them all below. I love wooden barstools to warm up a white or light kitchen 🤍 They also contrast beautifully with darker painted islands. They’re kid-friendly since you don’t have to worry about upholstery and are generally easy to wipe down. Amazon Kitchen Picks That Feel Designer & Timeless ✨ It’s giving Williams Sonoma vibes… just way more budget-friendly. 😉 I pulled together some elevated kitchen tools and smart storage solutions that make everyday cooking feel a little more special—without the high price tag. There’s definitely a copper theme happening—copper finished measuring cups and spoons, copper utensil holder—I love that warm, vintage look because it adds so much charm. Still on the lookout for real copper pots to hang in our kitchen (apparently no one wants to part with theirs 😅), but until then I’m happy with my copper-coated favorites. Also the spice drawer with glass labeled spice jars and plastic labeled storage make for happy cooks. Our plastic storage was discontinued so I linked the closest I could find. And lastly our kitchen battery powered lamp makes for a cozy work space! Since we’ve had a front porch I’ve wanted to hang flag bunting🇺🇸—and after four years here, we finally did it! These buntings are from Amazon—they’re a great larger size with richer colors than what I’d seen in stores ❤️. We used screw-in hooks with a clamp to keep them secure, so now I can pop them on and off as needed 🔧. I haven’t cracked the getting kids to bed code… but they definitely can’t blame their bedding for lack of sleep anymore.😄 Quince is one of those brands I keep coming back to. With all the talk of Ralph Lauren, I just couldn’t leave him out of this room — especially when tartan print, deep blues, leather, and teddy bears are involved. 🤎🧸 I’ve been looking forward to cozying up our boys’ shared room for a while now. We built and painted their beds this spring, and then summer hit and everything paused for a bit. Their favorite color is blue, so I leaned into that along with some plaid and leather accents to bring in a more classic, slightly masculine feel. This 1800’s antique wardrobe was a Facebook Marketplace find that found its way into our home—but not before a little budget-friendly DIY refinish. 💕 Here’s what I did: ✨ Stripped the old finish with Klean Strip ✨ Sanded smooth with fine-grit sanding pads ✨ Gave it a tan wash using Behr “Rugged Tan” (diluted with water, brushed on + wiped off) ✨ Sealed with Varathane satin water-based poly ✨ Added a tinted glaze for depth ✨ Finished with a few more coats of poly (sprayed for an even finish) ✨ Refreshed the inside with Restore-A-Finish I linked everything I could below! Before & After! ✨ One of my favorite ways to bring character into our home is by giving older, quality furniture a fresh new look—like this campaign-style Drexel dresser I refinished for our boys’ room! Also check out the custom beds we build & painted for their room next💙😉 If you have a dresser that could use a refresh, this ‘dipped look’ is a fun way to give it a modern twist! Steps below 👇🏻😃 I refinished this by stripping the previous stain off the top and re-staining it with a custom stain mix. Then, I taped off the bottom two-thirds, primed, and painted it. After removing the tape, I top-coated the entire dresser. 💡Tip: Apply some topcoat along the tape line before painting for crisp tape lines! Supplies Used:
