A few things I'm loving lately in this deep summer season. I've been gravitating toward things that feel relaxed, effortless, and timeless — quality linens, subtle blue striping, hydrangeas in full summer bloom, and roses my husband picked out for our anniversary that fill the kitchen with the best smell.
I know cooler fall days are coming, and I'll lean into those soon, but for now, I'm soaking up these last weeks of summer before school starts back and life speeds up.

We landed on our summer wreath from Wayfair and I couldn’t love it more. I was looking for something relaxed and timeless, and the white flowers really stand out beautifully from the street. Ever since we moved into this home, I’ve looked forward to hanging the flag bunting and decorating our porch for summer. But you don’t need a large front porch to create this look. Any porch or front door can capture the same classic Americana feeling.

🇺🇸 Subtle stripes: Layer them in with outdoor pillows like I did here, or start with a striped doormat.

🇺🇸 Small flags: Tuck them into planters, weave them into a front door wreath, or line your walkway for a simple, welcoming touch.

🌺 Red and white flowers: They bring a natural element to a patriotic color palette. All of our porch flowers and greenery are faux this year, which means zero maintenance all summer long.

🇺🇸 Flag bunting or banners: Even a single bunting above your front door makes a beautiful statement, or draping a flag banner over the doorway or flanking both sides of the door is another classic option.
