It’s not easy getting dressed for photographing a family photo session! I want to look somewhat professional but I’m also about to chase your toddler through an open field so I need something practical too! This blouse/overall combo was the perfect blend for me! It would also be fun for strawberry picking, summer cookouts, baseball games, or casual date nights!

The perfect maternity dress doesn’t exi- YES IT DOES!!! I just added this gorgeous Nothin Fits But dress to my client closet and it is so beautiful!! The fabric around the neckline and bust is so stretchy and forgiving, perfect for adapting to all of the changes your body goes through during pregnancy!

Fit check! I’m loving this casual, Spring look and you can’t get me out of these embroidered jeans lol. Check out what I wore to my family photoshoot this morning! We were mostly indoors so I always try to wear white in low light settings so I’m not reflecting and color casts and will hopefully add a little sparkle in my clients’ eyes!

We chose to do our newborn photos outdoors after our second baby was born and I have no regrets! I actually sold my dress afterwards and wish I hadn’t, but I finally found one that is very similar! I felt like the color and fabric were so forgiving after having a baby and it was also easy to nurse in which I had to do mid-session! I think this dress would coordinate with the family’s outfits so easily which makes styling everyone so much less stressful! I’ll tag a very similar version of this dress along with coordinating outfit ideas for the whole family below!l for you!

I wanted a colorful dress for my maternity photos that I could also wear to my baby shower and this one from Baltic Born ticked all of the boxes!! It was long enough that I could pick up my toddler without flashing anyone and stretchy enough that I could wear it at 6 months pregnant and 9 months pregnant! I was about 35 weeks along in the photo and baby came just two weeks later!

I found the most ADORABLE baby rompers which would be perfect for Easter or your next Spring or Summer Family Photo Session!

As a family photographer, I always recommend rompers over dresses for baby girls to prevent awkward bunches in the fabric when you are holding them! Plus you don't have to worry about bloomers or diapers showing! If it's cooler out, you can pair with a tall frilly/lacey socks, cute sandals and a little cardigan or denim jacket.
