For most of the moderate summer in the northeast I don’t swim so I like a versatile outfit. I currently like the 5 inch but when I was feeling heavier and more self conscious I ordered the 9 inch bird short version. I also tried the 3 inch recently not pictured here and was ok with that length as well. I’m wearing a size 12 here. I use a sun shirt as well if it’s not crazy hot. This one has the advantage of a full zip and hood so it wears like a sweatshirt jacket but super lightweight. I ordered a medium in the swim shirt. They both run true to size. I usually pair this with a tankini top and I have enough coverage to feel comfortable walking around or running after kids, can get wet and don’t have to worry about getting sunscreen on my everyday clothes.
