How to clean your dog’s toys ↴
:
1️⃣ Don’t use cleaning products you wouldn’t want your dog to eat! Remember, those toys go straight in their mouths.
:
2️⃣ For hard toys, scrub with white vinegar or a non-toxic dish soap, then rinse thoroughly.
:
3️⃣ Avoid the dishwasher for silicone toys and lick mats—they’ll soak up soap and taste gross!
:
4️⃣ Soft toys? Toss them in the washing machine, BUT FIRST, run a cleaning cycle to eliminate any detergent residue inside your washer. Then run a load of just dog toys without regular detergent or fabric softener. Instead, use baking soda or vinegar (not both!) or opt for a dog-safe laundry soap. Don’t forget to let them dry completely to prevent mold! :
5️⃣ Wash hard toys weekly and soft toys twice a month for a happy, healthy pup!
