After 3 years of searching, we finally found the perfect pre-finished white oak for custom cabinetry. 🤎

Decospan Shinnoki premium wood panels in the color “Ivory Oak” are neutral in tone with just the right amount of grain and depth.

Sharing all the details below on how to apply plaster to a range hood 🤍

•hood insert SKS Appliances: 36" (SKSHI3601S)

•used 1/4 birch plywood for the box (kerf cut the sides to achieve a curved shape)

•primed the plywood with PVA Drywall Primer (let dry 24 hrs)

•once dry, painted one coat of Meoded Quartz Plaster Primer (let dry 24 hrs)

•mixed Meoded Concretta FS Plaster powder with water (non-tinted)

•used a metal hand trowel to layer the 1st coat of plaster (applied in smaller layers for a slightly uneven finish)

•NOTE: apply it smoothly without harsh lines or bumps so it’s easier to smooth

•once it started to harden, we took a damp sponge to slightly smooth any rougher areas (let dry 24hrs)

•NOTE: for the 2nd coat of plaster, we mixed Meoded Concretta tint in the color “Calm White” into the Concretta powder with water (be sure to keep it a thicker consistency)

•used a rubber hand trowel to spread the mixture with a softer look (left some uneven texture for added depth)

•once it started to harden, took a slightly damp sponge to push the plaster flat on the edges and mold the final shape, pushed very lightly on the top and sides so it still kept some rougher texture

•TIP: however it looks before it completely hardens is exactly the shape it will become- make sure to not leave any lumps

•after it completely dried, we sealed it with 3 coats of Meoded Plaster-Guard sealer in the satin finish (it dries in more of a matte finish but is easily wipeable)

M o d e r n E u r o p e a n 🤎

•Featured stone: Eldorado Stone RoughCut in the color “Casa Blanca”

•gap sizes in between the stones varied between 1/4” - 1” (we had to chisel off the edges on some of them for a better fit)

•used Custom Building Products Prism Ultimate Performance Cement Grout in the color “Snow White” in a QEP piping bag (both from Home Depot) to pipe grout between the stones

•NOTE: the grout has a built-in sealer so it is pricier but definitely worth it in the long run

•the main key is to overfill the grout lines out past the faces of the stones

•let it dry about 10 minutes and then smoothed the grout with our fingers around each individual stone (wait until the grout reaches a play-dough-like consistency: firm enough to hold its shape, but still soft and workable)

•NOTE: be sure to push & pack the grout in very tightly around each stone so it has no openings in between the joints after it dries

•after the grout firmed up we went back again and smoothed any excess off with our fingers (we didn’t use water because we wanted to keep the grout off of the face of the stones)

•in some areas the grout shrunk after it dried so we went back over it a second time to make it fuller
