Hallway console transformation ✨
My client already had this gorgeous console table and wanted to create a more welcoming upstairs landing space. We layered in a few simple touches that made a big impact: a rustic lamp and vase, minimalist art, decorative books, candle, cozy boucle chair, and a 6ft fig tree in a textured planter. 🌿

The result feels elevated, inviting, and beautifully connected to the rest of the home.

Creating a cozy and elegant home office tucked into the master bedroom wing. ✨

Our client already had this gorgeous Arhaus desk, so we simply layered in a few thoughtful touches to make the space feel warm, functional, and connected to the bedroom design. We added desk accessories including a faux plant, leather desk mat, leather pen holder, and smart storage solutions. To make the space feel extra inviting, we styled it with a lumbar pillow and cozy throw for cooler nights, then finished it off with a stunning 6ft olive tree in a rustic planter for a fresh, organic touch. 🌿

The result? A beautiful extension of the elegant bedroom that feels both peaceful and productive.

Quick bathroom refresh for under $200 ✨

Here’s what we did to make this space feel brighter, calmer, and more functional:

Swapped the mismatched towels and rugs for lighter, neutral tones to complement the dark cabinets.

Added a neutral toiletry set, rustic vase with faux branches, and a candle for a simple spa-like touch.

Used a small storage basket to hide hygiene products and a larger basket to store extra clean towels.

Small changes really can make a huge difference without spending a fortune! 🤍

Layering a Stunning Living Room ✨

This living room was already beautiful, so the goal wasn’t to change it, it was to add depth and layers without taking away from the star of the room: the client’s unique nature-inspired wall art.

To complement the artwork instead of overshadowing it, I chose a simple console desk with clean lines. The tricky part? The space would only allow for a piece 12 inches deep or less. After some searching, we found this gorgeous Plank & Beam maple console desk, which fit the space perfectly.

To finish the look, I styled it with:
• A unique statement lamp
• Nature-inspired decor
• A 5-ft faux olive tree in a rustic planter for warmth and height

Designer Tip: I attach small cable clips to the back of console tables to hide lamp cords and keep everything looking clean and polished.

One of the most common things I see in clients’ homes? Kids’ artwork overflowing from drawers, cabinets, and random stacks all over the house. Parents don’t have the heart to toss it (understandably!), but they also don’t know how to manage all of it.

Organizer tip:
Gather all of your child’s artwork into one pile. Then, set aside just 15 minutes a day to go through it. Keep only the truly special pieces. My simple rule is saving no more than 50 pieces per each year.

Next, place your favorites into a dedicated art portfolio (I’ve linked a great one I’ve used for my own kids). Label it with your child’s name, and you’re done.

The best part?
You can now flip through it together and actually enjoy watching your little artist grow. One day, this becomes a keepsake they can even share with their own kids. 💛 Just store it in their memory box and call it a win.

Extra tip:
Going forward, write your child’s age and year on the back of each piece you want to keep and add it to the portfolio right away. No more piles all over the house!

One of my favorite projects is when I get to blend organizing and decorating, the best of both worlds.

This client had a beautiful built-in in their study that also served as a game room, art space, and LEGO building zone for their kids. Built-ins can feel overwhelming with so much open space, so we intentionally broke the area into clearly defined zones to make it both functional and visually balanced.

To create a true multifunctional space, each section was given a specific purpose. One enclosed cabinet was dedicated to LEGOs in progress, using clear bins so pieces are easy to find (and clean up). Another cabinet was assigned to cookbooks, travel books, and school artwork. To protect the kids’ artwork, we used individual art portfolios in different colors, one for each child.

With very active kids, medals and ribbons were another consideration. Instead of displaying everything, we showcased only the most recent achievements and neatly stored the rest in labeled bins.

Two additional built-ins were used for the family’s board games. As part of the organizing process, we sorted through each game, letting go of ones that were outgrown or had missing pieces. Small cards, accessories, and miscellaneous items were stored in white bin to keep them contained.

To finish the space, we coordinated all the picture frames using only silver and black to match the cabinet hardware, added a few black décor accents and faux plants to warm things up, and completed the look with a cozy lumbar pillow to make the reading chair extra inviting. 📖

The assignment from my new client was crystal clear 🤍

Step 1: Transform their playroom into a cozy reading/playroom nook that also functions as an office space for an exciting new business venture.

Step 2: Refresh the living and dining areas, add lighting, and create a meaningful family gallery wall.

Step 3: Make the entryway more inviting while discreetly hiding shoes, school backpacks, and packages by the door.

While we would have loved to paint the entire downstairs a more neutral color (and even whitewash the stone fireplace) we were mindful that this is a rental and a temporary home.

Instead, we focused on smart, renter-friendly updates: adding curtains to warm the space and create privacy, getting permission to paint the fireplace mantel, and sourcing a few affordable furniture pieces from @wayfair and Facebook Marketplace.

Nothing makes my heart happier than hearing clients say they feel more relaxed the moment they walk into their home…and the sweet hugs from their kids were the cherry on top. 🍒
