Nora sent us off with a worried expression. Charlie has had a rough few days with significant GI issues, lethargy, and labored breathing. Neither of us are getting decent sleep. Nights have been especially hard. At 13, we know we can expect some age related issues but that his age also makes him more vulnerable. So we checked in with the vet, didn’t panic but after a few days they had us bring him in. Another trip to the vet means another day of appreciating our backseat extender. He’s home, we both got a much needed nap, he’s got doses of his new medications and just ate. Hopefully he’ll quickly be on the mend. Follow up for this would be Monday if no improvement (sooner it worsens). And Tuesday is his follow up with the animal eye care clinic for the Diamond burr debridement procedure he had 2 weeks ago. My poor guy. The vet receptionist assumed I was bringing him in today related to his two eyelid surgeries but nope, a whole different health concern. Back on pain meds for a few days, two medications for digestive health for two weeks, and a third that he may end up staying on.
