I'm so excited to see this Madewell tote at the sale! It is so impressive in person. The handles have padding you'd see at much higher prices, and the leather's texture reflects light beautifully. It's large enough for your work necessities, and it's cool enough to be your weekend time off bag, too. The Horse's simple designs require supple yet substantial leather, and that's exactly what they use. Rue de Verneuil give you a luxe take on Hermès' Garden Party without looking like a Amazon dupe: notice the skinny round handles, the leather trim, the canvas that holds its shape. Elleme uses the same soft weaving technique that vaulted Bottega Veneta to the legendary status we know today. Manu Atelier's belt bags are the only ones I recommend for that Birkin-esque look because their materials + craftsmanship truly showcase a compelling vision.

Boyish shorts contrast with the 1950s, ultra feminine feel of a sweater set. The soft loafers are a bridge: supple like ballet flats with the details of classic loafers. These are the Dear Frances gifted loafers that passed my harshest inspection: bound topline, leather lining, a curved sole. I'm including my cap-toe flats I went back and bought with my own money. The hip-length jacket will be very versatile this fall, giving wide-leg jeans more polish, adding volume to slim capris, and of course pairing beautifully with classic straight jeans (and pants). rag & bone's short trench has the gun flap on the correct side, where it was originally engineered to seal the coat from rain (when you button up the coat, it covers the top corner. Gemius). Vince's single-breasted rain coat has a beautifully sculpted collar to frame the face - that's a daily driver that adds refinement to your yoga outfit with zero effort. COS' 100% wool blazer reminds me of Victoria Beckham's 1970s fascination, and COS' wool/lyocell double-faced fabric is an evergreen favorite for its beautiful sheen and elegant drape.
