My COS picks that give luxury - most tailored pants except the Relaxed Linen-Blend Wide-Leg Pants. Pants are cut close and not curvy, so I recommend sizing up. Most pants have adjustable internal bands so you can cinch the waist and look polished. The knits are superb, and most button ups are outstanding – just stay away from the Longline Linen Shirt and this fabric: 50% linen, 47% rayon, 3% spandex. Their tees are my favorite - they start out perfect and keep their shape after dozens of washes (gentle cycle, air dry).

Skip the loafers (blobby toe), grab the Josepha sandals, Milano knit cardigans, embroidered blouses, and hand-woven raffia bags. Skip the classic button ups - they're average at best, and too often, the stripes don't align.

Embroidered, ruched, and embellished, these Sézane blouses stand out. They're equivalent to tops that cost three times as much, and you can see how the Madewell blouse just does not measure up. I love layering them under my denim shirts, blazers, or chunky cardigans. They're also great with jeans - of course. I just wash in the gentle cycle, then steam them right out of the wash. I don't iron or anything else. Easy. They're fitted. I go with size 4, and I'm 2-4 typically.

Everything else packs in the center, then the long layers wrap around for soft corners, no hard creases. ✈️ A few more things I swear by: light-colored packing cubes are easier to spot in a dark suitcase.
