I don’t say this lightly, but this is the best Korean sunscreen I’ve ever used! The @skin1004official Madagascar Centella Hyalu-Cica Water-Fit Sun Serum is eastern skincare at its best, it’s why I love her so much. As far as what I look for in a sunscreen, she’s near perfect and I know for a fact lots of you will love her too. It’s a chemical sunscreen with PA++++ which means it’s provides broad spectrum protection aka. UVA rays (A = Aging) and then it’s also SPF50+ which protects from UVB rays (B = Burning). I love reaching for this sunscreen when my skin is feeling a tad sensitised and looking a bit red, because as far as sunscreens go this is incredibly nourishing and soothing on the skin, with its combination of hyaluronic acid (hydrating) and centella asiatica aka. Cica (soothing) as well as Niacinamide (helps manage sebum production) and antioxidants such as green tea and broccoli extract to (help fight against free radical damage) I I forget it’s a sunscreen sometimes. It’s marketed as a sun serum, but I’d say it’s closer in texture and feel to a Japanese emulsion (think a super thin and lightweight moisturiser that feels and looks milky in texture). It’s the antithesis to the heavy, sticky, pore clogging and oily feeling you can get from so many sunscreens. And not only does it feels so lightweight on the skin but it also feels incredibly refreshing and hydrating as well so on warmer days I sometimes just skip my moisturiser all together and find this is hydrating and moisturising enough on its own. It’s also a pleasant one to reapply throughout the day as it just melts into your skin so quickly and smoothly that your skin never feels bogged down in product. It also doesn’t sting the eyes, and in terms of white caste it does take a sec longer to work in but it does dissipate eventually. Also, while I’m singing its praises from the rooftop I also want to say the wee groove in the pump top is just.*chefs kiss* It’s a solid 10/10 sunscreen from me. Run don’t walk.
