Monday, we made it! Phew, I am so glad it’s a new week. It’s been a while since I introduced myself so here we go 👇🏽
1) If I wasn’t a Teacher 👩🏼‍🏫 I would probably be a interior designer, fashion buyer, event planner or something to do with social media.
2) Although I do teach full time, I have several other careers as well! I am currently working with a nonprofit, I teach online & I love helping plan/promote events & businesses in my city. 🌃
3) Class and Contrast is a play on words. “Class” can be taken as in school or as in classy. 💄
4) One day I want to own my own clothing store. 🛍
5) I love cake. 🍰
6)Before Class and Contrast, I had a blog called “The Bourbon Beauty” which I’m working to rebrand into this! My goal is to simply share fun outfits 💃🏼 and decor inspiration with you.
7) I attended college in Nashville, TN 🤠 and still consider it my second home. It will always have a piece of my heart!
8) I’m a 3️⃣ on the Enneagram test!

‘‘Twas the night before Christmas... or something like that 🤣 Tomorrow is the first day of a new year 🙌🏼 to be very transparent- My classroom isn’t completely finished and well that’s okay. Things are not labeled, things are shoved in drawers and cabinets to be hidden, things aren’t hung up on the wall that I would like to be up. But that will all come together within the next week. My mental health was more important than working myself to death to have ten frames hung up on a wall.

Reflecting back to my first year here’s what I would tell myself:

1) Nobody fully knows 100% what they are doing
2)Staying till 9pm multiple nights a week doesn’t make you a better teacher.
3) Ask for help when you need it

I just wanted to take a second to answer a few of my most asked questions:
1) The grass skirt is a pain in the 🍑. The faux grass is always everywhere. Me, the kids, the floor, the halls. It falls off a lot and I do not know if I will do it again next year. 🧐
2) The balls are from Amazon and the rings at the bottom came with the order.
3) The letters on my wall above the babes backpacks is a Decal from @manukakidsdecal.
4) Yes I actually teach in the shoes I post pictures in, I don’t change for the ‘gram. I’ve always loved heels and wedges.. actually I’ve just always loved any kind of shoes! These are my absolute favorite wedges off all time. So comfy! I linked them!
