Felt really honored to be invited back to guest lecture Principles of Marketing at my university, Price College of Business. When I walked these halls as a student many years ago, good grades were never easy for me. I remember having to study for hours longer than my friends because I was awful at test taking (and still am). As a student, I was uncertain of how my future would unfold and had a paralyzing fear of public speaking.
😬😬😬
However, good old fashioned hard work, study, and practice, driven by a desire to make peace with my fear, has opened so many wonderfully unexpected doors. I’m a firm believer that success has everything to do with attitude and a willingness to improve. Although I am far from perfect, I am truly grateful for these opportunities. The greatest lesson I’ve learned is that it’s not about you, it’s about having a positive impact on others. Crush your fears and you may find that you actually enjoy them. 💃🏼
