🎄💌 Holiday PSA! Before those Christmas cards head out into the world, let’s make sure our family names are dressed just as beautifully as our trees and tablescapes.

One of the biggest holiday grammar slip-ups? Adding apostrophes to last names.
Apostrophes show possession… and unless your Christmas card is owned by the Smith family’s mailbox, you don’t need one. 😉

Your cards should use plural last names—that means simply making the name plural, not possessive.

Here’s the rule that keeps it classy + correct every time:

✨ Add -ES if the name ends in s, x, z, ch, or sh
✨ Add -S to everything else
✨ Never use ’s or s’ for family names

So:
The Smiths
The Joneses
The Churches
The Berrys
